I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  I am a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and a Credentialed California Community College Counselor and Psychology Instructor. While I have been working in the field since 1990 and Licensed since 1996, I have recently opened a private practice, helping men, adolescents and their parents live healthy lives. I am particularly experienced working with high-risk youth and adults, including those who are drug and gang involved. I am both personally and professionally active in helping men be the most effective men they can be. I began my career as a Group Home Counselor, working 2-4 day shifts while attaining my BA in Psychology at U.C. Santa Cruz and my M.S. in Clinical Psychology at San Jose State University. My experience in the field includes serving as the Director of Wraparound, Therapeutic Behavioral Services and a Foster Care - Adoption Program at Non-Profit Agencies in the counties surrounding Santa Cruz. I have also worked as a Community College Counselor and Instructor, teaching Alcohol and Drug Studies Career Counseling, and Men’s Re-entry, and providing individual counseling. I have supervised numerous interns, coaching them to develop their skills and personalities as practicing professionals.

A second aspect of my practice is as a Collaborative Divorce Coach. In this capacity, as a member of a Collaborative Team comprised of lawyers, financial and mental health professionals, I support family members who have decided to dissolve their marriage.  This alternative dispute resolution process allows them to complete this difficult transition in a manner that assures that both their needs and their children’s key needs are met while staying out of litigation.
